Bazooka
Located in Beauchastel Township, the Bazooka Gold Property lies seven kilometres southwest of Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec, adjacent to the Augmitto gold deposit (1.0 million tones at 6.17 g/t gold), currently held by Yorbeau Resources Inc. The property was acquired (100%) in September 2003 from Fieldex Exploration Inc. and is subject to a 0.5% NSR royalty. The property spans 1.8 kilometres of the prolific Cadillac-Larder Lake Break, a major deep crustal structure hosting numerous gold occurrences and deposits including the Val d'Or, Cadillac, Kirkland Lake, Larder Lake and Matachewan gold camps.
Previous drilling reported high-grade gold intersections and the mineralization remains open and untested in all directions. Prior to Lake Shore's acquisition, there had been no drilling work conducted on the Property since 1982.
Lake Shore initiated a drill program in October 2003, with the objective of better defining the main mineralized horizon delineated by previous drilling. A thirty-four hole drill program, totalling 10,804 metres, was carried out intermittently from October 2003 to April 2005 on the Bazooka property. This program increased the known strike length of the mineralized zone from 250 metres to 560 metres, and the zone remains open to the west.

The Cadillac Fault Zone at Bazooka hosts the main mineralized horizon and is characterized by 50-100m wide zone of intense deformation and alteration within mixed clastic and ultramafic metavolcanic sequences. Within this broad alteration zone lies a 1 metre to 2 metre wide sulphide-bearing horizon hosting brownish quartz veins containing occasional free gold. Typically this zone hosts the best gold mineralization including 5.0 grams per tonne over 3.2 metres (including 9.8 grams per tonne over 1.0 metre), and 9.08 grams per tonne over 2.11 metres (including 12.45 grams per tonne over 1.0 metre).
